Birdwatching
Sitting on one of the 2 main migration routes between Europe and Africa,
Southern Spain offers some fantastic opportunities for Ornithologists.
Egyptian, Griffon and rare Black Vultures and the Eagles - Gold, Imperial,
Booted, Bonelli's and the Honey Buzzard, the Pallid Harrier are some
of the birds that you are likely to see from the cliffs around the area.

Watch out specifically for the Black Vulture, one of Spains rarest
birds, it is
estimated that there are fewer than a few hundred of these birds in
existence.
Just as rare is the Spanish Imperial Eagle, most of these are located
in one place the Parque Nacional de Doñana.
One of Andalucias most common birds is the Golden Oriole which are
generally seen in the orchards surrounding the town. Woodpeckers, Bee
Eaters and Owls are very common and you would have to be very unlucky
to not see at least some of them.
